I couldn't wait to receive my finished book of The Ukraine Train today! I think I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself. It was fun doing the layouts, and I made quite a few changes from how it was on the blog that I think makes it a better read. Just had to share! And if by any off chance you are wanting a copy for your very own, you can buy it in the Blurb bookstore.

What a great idea and a great opportunity to influence many people for Christ and toward welcoming children from other countries and with unknowns & challenges. I'm impressed that you were able to turn this wonderful idea into a reality. Must have taken real blood, sweat, and tears. Shabash! (congrats in Telugu). May it go far and accomplish much.

It turned out great! By the way, I know we exchanged quite a few email on the books while you were preparing yours. How did the picture quality turn out when you would have the little warning triangle on the picture? Let me know!

Dumb question, but do you get "royalties" when I buy one?

Christine said...

Misty, great question. For every book sold, I will get $5.00. This is considered taxable income, however. Any money that is generated from book sales will go towards Dennis' medical costs.

I've thought of buying 10 books at a discount and then passing on that discount while still making $5.00. I don't know if 10 people will buy my book though.

Oh my gosh, you are amazing! How wonderful! I will have to buy one after I get from bringing Anah home! We are on a VERY tight budget right now, but I sure do want one! I loved following your blog as you went along, but it will be great to share it with others as time goes on!

Thought perhaps this post was the LOVE DARE ADOPTION book you mentioned, and I thought "Wow, she truly is SUPER MOM!" I like this book too. I can't wait to start making our book of memories once O is home! God Bless!

Congratulations! I hope to someday have the time and patience to sit down and write Phillip's story.

You've inspired me to try to get the kids' adoptions put into print. I'm only 7 years late with Ben's!!!!!
