I wish

I don't know what happened, but it appears that late last night someone came in and played a cruel joke on me by dirtying up all the clean clothes and piling them up in the laundry room. A big UGH!

By mid-morning after speech and running to the pharmacy, I got a handle on the situation and was half way through the monstrous pile.

By afternoon, I managed to wash every single dirty piece of laundry. Now if I can only fold and put away every piece of laundry I will be able to officially claim that I don't have laundry.... for about three hours until my kids come home.

Dennis is always next to me keeping busy. He even helps me load the washer.

I am definitely mourning the second laundry room I had at our other house. But I think I have found something just as good.

A mom can wish, can't she? What is on your wish list?

Wow - 3 baskets of laundry in one load. I can understand why you would find that handy. I have about 2 loads a day & that's enough for me to keep up with at the moment (thankfully with summer coming that should go down a bit now!)
Dennis is gorgous there - I can imagine he would just love helping!

You MUST have them. I have that washer and dryer and I LOVE THEM!!!!! My life is soooooo much easier. You only need one washer and dryer when you have these. One of the best investments ever.

Wow could I use that washer and dryer. I do 3-4 large loads a day.

I have all our outgrown clothes packed away in a small closet in the kid's bathroom. Last week I went to get something and found out a roach family had moved in sometimes along the way and ALL the clothes on the bottom had to be washed. About 8 loads in the washer and 13 in the dryer! A few were totally ruined. Who knew roaches could pee and poop that much?????

Wow. Your laundry pile is impressive. Yet, I have just about as much, and I've got less than half the kids you do! Better get right on that...

On my wish list: I want one of those aero gardens, where you can grow herbs and lettuce and tomatoes right on your kitchen counter. I want the stackable 3 tiered one, but it seems a little extravagant until I know I can actually grow this stuff (it's supposed to be fool proof, but they didn't factor in my ability to kill all houseplants with my neglect!). Hopefully, though, I can talk my husband into a small one at least.

A good washer and dryer is one of my favorite parts of a home - and we only have 4 people to clothe. Because of our moving, we haven't got to choose our own laundry appliances for .. ?? ... too many years. It's wasteful to buy and dispose of our own too. While I may not need an industrial-sized laundry machine, I am definitely wishing for a GOOD set on our next move!

I also want a yard. Please?

you had a second laundry room! that would have been quite handy...i find that i forget my last load in the washer until the next round happens = another load to wash... with your family dynamics, I think you deserve your wish. here's to hoping...

OK, I would have expect MUCH MORE laundry than that. I'm impressed. I want that set too, but it won't happen anytime soon. :(

WOW, you kept busy didn't you :). I hate laundry! Ugh.

Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog! I really can't wait to be a mom, biologically or adoptive.

I just found a story on this blog:

thevoiceofadventure.blogspot.com

She shares about a friend who has 4 bio. kids, 3 adopted kids and was just approved to adopt a sibling group of 5! Their ages are 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 year old! Bringing the total to 12. Please pray for them. If you go to the blog you can get a "button" to post and/or donate via a pay pal account for a virtual baby shower to help them with beds/car seats/clothes/etc.

I would love a dryer that doesn't take hours to dry a small load.

On my wish list . . . first, a bathroom and then a washing machine. I don`t mind air drying when it`s the dry season, but washing clothes by hand is NOT FUN!

I've been curious how you manage after school activities like soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, dance, gymnastics, etc. with 10 kids to get to practices, games or classes.

I too would LOVE a new washer and dryer, my dream is Maytag front loaders.

I just got home from my son's doctors appt and groceries to find that same pile in my laundry. Only thing is I was sure I finished all the washing last night? (must be dirty clothes fairies in my house hey) LOL

Laundry is the worst. :) I don't mind the washing and drying, its the sorting and checkin for stains before hand and the folding and putting away after (so I guess that is basically all of it)! I wish for some remodeling to change a little of our upstairs floor plan, and a larger, newer vehicle.

Wow, Christine...I was just blogging about laundry the other day too...it is ENDLESS...ENDLESS!! I think you should send this blog entry to the makers of that awesome washer/dryer and maybe they would send you a set for good advertising?!?!?!? YES! DO THAT!

Too funny! Here I sit checking out your blog with my laundry basket full of clean clothes at my feet and folded clothes all over my bed. I don't know how you do it! I only have one kiddo to keep clean.

My wish is for a laundry room in the house. We live in a 70 year old house and one of the renovation projects we have not yet tackled is an addition with a laundry rooom in the house. Ours is in a room at the back of our garage and is a major pain to do since the garage is detached.

I am wishing with you! Love that washer and dryer.

BTW...You've been tagged as this weeks blog worthy of note. The post will be up in about an hour!

Now Christine, didn't you know that both laundry and piles of paper and other junk on the countertop have a mysterious ability to reproduce exponentially overnight in even the most adverse conditions?

Wow! I am so glad you came to my blog! I don't know how you found it either, but I had stopped by yours and didn't bookmark. I remembered it as soon as I saw all your beautiful children being still at the same time. How often does that happen? :O)

3 baskets of laundry?!? That's amazing! That would do almost my entire week's laundry! ;)

Girl...I have the Whirlpool Cabrios. It was a gift from my hubby right before he left...guilt.

The Cabrios are a wonderful thing. My husband bribed me with a set of 2 washers and 2 dryers to get me to move. It worked!

♥ Laundry and dishes are the same type of chore that NEVER ends!!! That 3 load washer/dryer is FABULOUS!!! :)

That's a fun question. After the basics - of a new van that I don't have to worry about, my household wish list would be an addition that would include a larger kitchen - I have NO counter space! And a decent mud room, so that all the shoes are not lying right in front of the door....because really, there is no place else.

Or - maybe the wish would be someone to put the laundry away. That is the part I don't like a BIT!
