A quick snip

I really didn't feel like cutting Annalyn's hair tonight. Besides being tired, I just wasn't eager too do something that she really wanted when the past week has been a little rough, if you know what I mean. But I did it anyways. I just couldn't bring myself to not cut her hair. It felt too much like revenge to me, so I made her day and cut her bangs.

Afterwards, she begged me to dry her hair. When a haircut and blow dry can bring on such a big smile, I have to admit that it was worth it.

"I look so much younger, Mama!"

Just think how wonderful it is that the thing that makes her day is having a one-on-one event with you. That's fun.

♥ I have a hard time wanting to do hair cuts and then once I've started it's not so bad. I try to get them all done at one. The 2 boys and then any cutting that the girls might need done. Do you cut all of your kids hair?

way to go mom! i never want to do it either. she looks adorable and completely thrilled. such a little thing and she feels totally loved.
i luckily have had my mom trim the girls bang when they were at her house. i thought that was pretty fabulous and they prefer her anyway. lucky me.

You did a great job with those bangs! I am too scared to cut my kid's hair. It would be crooked but your cut looks so professional!

it's amazing that sometimes it is the very little things that make the biggest difference!

Great job on the bangs, and on moving beyond your feelings too!

Doing what I don't feel like doing (or not doing what I want to)... Isn't that what love is all about?

She is beautiful!

Hi Christine. I am doing fine. Thanks for asking. Alan and my middle kids are away for a few days and it is just me and Davin. So, that makes for a pretty quiet house.

So glad you could have special haircut time with your beautiful daughter!

I usually have to BEG the ones who need haircuts to sit down and let me cut their hair! hehe. And I'm not that bad at hair-cutting either. :) She looks great with her trimmed bangs!

She looks darling! Plus, It's so cool that something as simple as a haircut can bring a smile to a child's face.

Keep up the good work! -Jenny
