Some of us were talking in the kitchen, when Rachel came down and sat with us. We noticed that she was wearing lip gloss that she had been given for Christmas. Within seconds of being with us, she began wiping her eyes. I gave her a napkin, as her eyes watered profusely.
"What's wrong Rachel?" we all asked.
"I put lip gloss on my eyes to make them shiny."

Dosen't every girl do something like that between 6th grade and the rest of her life? It stinks when we mess up though. At least she wont do it again.
On the eyes(lids) not in the eyes! Oops! I guess it is one way to learn that make-up doesn't always work as intended - either for unconventional use, or proper use - or stay where you put it!
I bought some liquid eyeshadow awhile back (silver and dark blue) and it worked awful as eyeshadow.. looked bad, clumped.. but it makes the most amazing costume lipstick!!!) Ya never know unless you try!
Well I guess it worked in a roundabout way... Teary eyes are pretty shiny, no?
